SUPPLIES

With any pilgrimage there are items that will help you with your journey. Our journey of faith in the Lord is no different. To begin, you don't need much - Just faith in Christ. In an effort to grow in your faith here are some resources that will help.

Bible

A Bible is vital in this journey - it is how God communicates to us. Get the best Bible you can comfortably afford. If you cannot afford a Bible, Contact us below and we will send you a New Testament. It is all you need to begin! If you can afford a Bible choose a good translation. We recommend Holman (HCSB), English Standard Version (ESV), or New Kings James (NKJV).

Dictionary

DICTIONARY - yes, an app or computer will work (We use these too!), but nothing beats the actual book when studying. Our Bible reading can be filled with many terms and words that are unfamiliar in today's casual language. Having a way to identify meaning is vital in learning the true message God has for us.

Concordance

'Strong's Concordance' is one we use. We prefer the actual book, below is a link to utilize the online platform. A concordance will help you compare topics throughout the scripture and understand various parts of the Bible that you might find difficult.

Bible Reading Schedule

A Bible reading schedule is important to keep you on track in your growth. There are many options available, here is a resource we recommend.

Notebook

We recommend journaling as you read and study the word of God. Journaling will reinforce the truths God is teaching yoU and also give you a point of reference as you look back on your spiritual journey. As you journal, track what you are learning and also, write down your questions. If you have any, be sure to send them our way - we are here to support this journey you are on!

3x5 cards

God tells us to meditate on His word. He uses His word to guide us and helps us follow His direction. 3x5 cards are a simple tool for writing down a verse and carrying it with us to review throughout the day.  As you accumulate more verses, you can punch a hole in the corners to keep on a snap-ring for easy access.

*You can use your concordance to find verses on different subjects as well!
